About
Each summer Brookhaven National Laboratory opens to the public on a few Sundays, each focused on a different facility and field of research. The laboratory describes free tours, shows and hands-on activities, with no reservations needed and gates open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All visitors 18 and older must show active REAL ID-compliant identification. The current page says the series has ended for this year; the lab also runs weekday tours for groups of 10 to 20 from colleges, professional bodies and adult groups, which are not listed here.
