    About

Canterbury Shaker Village is a museum on the site of a Shaker community in central New Hampshire. Guided tours, included in admission, go through the Shakers' workshops, laundry, school house and dwellings, and an "Innovations and Inventions" tour covers their labor-saving inventions. About 700 acres of grounds and trails, including a loop around Turning Mill Pond with a historic pump house, are free every day from dawn to dusk. The Village is closed for the winter, and tours run from May to November.
