    About

Glen Canyon Dam holds back Lake Powell on the Colorado River at Page, Arizona. The Carl Hayden Visitor Center stands at the dam on Highway 89, with exhibits, films, ranger answers and a gift shop run by the Glen Canyon Conservancy, and it opens every day except three winter holidays. The National Park Service's current hours page lists "Tours of Dam" as closed, and no reopening date appears, so plan for the visitor center and the bridge-side views rather than a tour.

Owner: Bureau of Reclamation. Run by: Bureau of Reclamation, with the National Park Service and Glen Canyon Conservancy.
