About

The Welcome Center is the bridge district's on-site visitor centre. It has interactive and static exhibits on how the bridge was designed and built, the 12-foot stainless steel test tower from 1933, and a plaza and bunker with more displays. Free walking tours of the bridge are run on Wednesdays and Saturdays by San Francisco City Guides, a separate organisation.
