About
The museum stands in Bristol, Rhode Island, where the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company built racing and cruising yachts. Visitors see a hall of boats and the designer's models, with docents available for private tours. It keeps regular hours from May to December and is closed in January to April, when a docent tour can be arranged a week ahead. The library and archives are by appointment only.

At the corner of Hope Street (Route 114) and Burnside Street, half a mile south of the center of Bristol. Parking on site or on nearby streets. Boaters can use dockage and moorings from mid-May to mid-October; the museum runs no launch.
