    About

Hoover Dam holds back Lake Mead on the Nevada–Arizona line, and Reclamation runs three ways in. The Guided Dam Tour takes you through the inspection tunnels in the middle of the dam and up the original elevator, and is sold only on site. The Power Plant Tour walks the construction tunnels to a penstock viewing platform and the Nevada powerhouse generators. The self-guided Visitor Center has narrated exhibits and an observation deck.

Owner: Bureau of Reclamation. Run by: Bureau of Reclamation (tickets sold by LAZ Parking).

    Getting there

    Boulder City, NV

The Visitor Center and parking garage are on the Nevada side of the dam. All vehicles pass a security checkpoint on the Nevada side.

The pin marks the site itself, not necessarily the entrance (36.01583, -114.73778). Show on our map · Google Maps · Apple Maps
