About

The Johnstown Inclined Plane is a cable-hauled incline that lifts riders, and standard passenger cars, between a lower station in the city and an upper station in Westmont. It reopened on 10 September 2026 after rehabilitation work that ran far longer than planned. The upper station has an observation deck, a gift shop and a restaurant. Open Thursday to Sunday for now, with later hours on Friday and Saturday.
