    About

Mount Washington Observatory staffs a weather station around the clock inside the Sherman Adams Visitor Center on the summit. In summer, 30-minute guided tours meet the summit weather team and show the instruments, and the Extreme Mount Washington museum below has hands-on exhibits on rime ice and winter conditions. Both close when the state park closes for winter. The valley offices in North Conway are not described here as a visit.
