About

The New York Transit Museum fills a decommissioned subway station in Brooklyn with exhibits on the city's mass transit. Entry is down two flights of stairs, with a separate wheelchair-accessible entrance. The museum also runs a free gallery and store in Grand Central Terminal, not covered here. Groups of nine or more can visit only on a staff-led group tour.

Getting there

99 Schermerhorn St, Brooklyn, NY

In a decommissioned subway station, reached by more than 20 subway and bus lines. The main entrance is down two flights of stairs; a wheelchair-accessible entrance is at the corner of Schermerhorn and Court Streets.

The pin marks the site itself, not necessarily the entrance (40.69040, -73.99000). Apple Maps directions go to the street address instead. Show on our map · Google Maps · Apple Maps
