About
Old Slater Mill is a landmark mill building in Pawtucket where Samuel Slater first ran Arkwright-style water-powered cotton spinning in the United States. The National Park Service staffs a visitor information station inside, with an 8-minute video and a Junior Ranger program, and runs guided tours three times on open days. The grounds are open daily from dawn to dusk.
