    About

The Patten Lumbermen's Museum covers the logging industry of northern Maine. A reception center shows a film on lumbering and log driving and displays tools, clothing and photographs. Outbuildings on the grounds include logging camps, a blacksmith shop and a sawmill, and visitors can see a Lombard steam log hauler, a machine that replaced teams of horses. It opens only in the warmer months and had closed for the season on October 12, 2026.
