  • Photo ID: Yes. Attendees 18 and older need a valid government-issued photo ID (REAL ID licence, passport or accepted alternative) matching the name on the ticket's QR code; without it entry is denied.
  • Minimum age: 12+. Ages 12 to 17 must be registered by, and stay with, a parent or guardian; a signed risk waiver is part of registration.

    SLAC offers free on-site public tours with lab guides to see some of its facilities, which sit along the long linear accelerator. Tours were listed for the last two Fridays of the month in two 90-minute slots, and registration opens at 9 a.m. on the first Friday of each month through Eventbrite. Visitors must be 12 or older, adults need a government photo ID matching their ticket, and closed-toe shoes are required. A self-paced virtual tour is also on the site. Classroom tours for school groups of 10 to 25 are by request and are not listed separately.
