About
Steamtown is an active railyard in Scranton with a collection of locomotives, including Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4012, and museum exhibits on American railroads. Entering the visitor center, museums and grounds is free. Short train rides run on Fridays to Sundays and longer excursions on select weekends, both ticketed through recreation.gov or on site.
